Arrival

The nearest station is Marsden which is 4 miles away. However the service to that village is only infrequent so Huddersfield is the main station which has very good services to Leeds, Manchester, York, Newcastle, Scarborough, Sheffield and many other destinations.

From Huddersfield bus station the 324 bus leaves every 10 minutes during the day to Meltham Broadlands. From there it is only a 5 minute walk to Laneside Farm B&B.

By car, there is off-road parking, with the possibility of dropping off immediately in front of the easy-access bedroom. For those who can manage stairs, the main entrance is at the front and down 7 steps with a handrail. There will be help with luggage available if needed.

Outside the property there are lights which come on automatically when it's dark and they detect movement. This lights guests' route to their door.

Rooms

The downstairs bedroom has its own outside door and guests will have keys to that with their other room and front door keys. The bathroom has an enclosed shower with a small lip to step over. There is a grab rail under the electric shower. The toilet is average height. All the doors from outside through to the dining/sitting room are wide enough for a wheelchair.

The upstairs rooms need to use a wide staircase with bannisters for access. There is one beam which is only 6 ft clearance so very tall guests might have to be careful.

All rooms have ceiling lights and bedside lights. All bathrooms have enclosed electric showers, shaver points and extractor fans.

Laneside Farm is fully equipped with mains smoke alarms and emergency lighting and there is a fire extinguisher on the upstairs landing and downstairs hallway.

Everywhere except the downstairs hallway and bathrooms have fitted carpets. The hallway is tiled and the bathrooms have vinyl flooring. There are doormats by the external doors but no rugs in rooms.
